In a blink of an eye, the 2morrow Fashion Blast Fiesta 2015 that happened last weekend (9-10 May) has come and gone!
If you missed out on it, here’s how one of fashion’s most glamorous night went down.
Amidst the gorgeous view of the city on the Avenue K rooftop and the glittering lit atmosphere, stood the 405-meter long fashion runway dubbed as the longest in Malaysia, entering ‘The Malaysia Book of Records’.
Celebrating and showcasing the latest collections by 2morrow footwear, finalists had a final strut to impress the crowd before the grand announcement of the winner for the ‘Face Of 2morrow’ model search.
Confidently catwalking the challenging runway, 30 finalists (male, female and hijabista) models paraded dazzling designs by Chemboja and Venaise KL, accompanied by performances by Harris Alif, whom also showed-off his designs, and hip-hop trio ‘Tiga Swagger’ were not short of bringing the house down with their dance-worthy tunes.
In the end, only three winners were crowned for each category. Price, Syikin and Fatin were the lucky models that walked away with a grand prize in a form of a modelling contract with ML Model agency and other great prizes worth up to RM5,000 and awarded the title ‘Face Of 2morrow’, selected by a professional panel of jury.
Malaysian fashion icons like Bon Zainal, Remy Ishak, Faizal Ismail, Afdlin Shauki, Amin Idris, Natasha Hudson, and Mizz Nina among others were also present to support the noble event that officially donated RM10,000 to the National Cancer Council Malaysia (MAKNA) courtesy of Roistz Labels and Ikatan Ukhuwah. Other brands that took part include, Madeena, The Classic Box, Qurratu Ain, Cantik Sparkle, who were also among those who had booths setup at the venue.
Understanding the challenges faced by local fashion brands, and setting up a platform for all aspiring local designers, Managing Director of 2morrow Malaysia, Shaheful Ardan remarked, “In the fashion world, to showcase your collection is not cheap and sometimes the design is superbly gorgeous, but it can’t be shown to the public because of the financial issue. I want to be their saviour.”
Meanwhile, Creative Director and founder of 2morrow Malaysia, Ezza Yusof has also expressed how she cannot be any happier with the outcome, and has thanked everyone for their support, with a hint that the nation can expect a series of the ’2morrow Fashion Blast Fiesta’ following the success of this pilot event.
“Thank you to everyone who came and support us at the #2morrowfashion2015, wish us the best to still continue this event so all local designers and entrepreneurs can take part to showcase their designs/products on the longest runway in Malaysia. Stay tuned!”
