- Simulation - Treatment areas on patient’s body is defined and marked to guide the placement of radiation beams.
- Radiotherapy - This is where an appropriate amount of radiation is delivered to destroy the cancerous tissue. Radiation is given according to the cancer type, location, and stage, as well as the general health of the patient.
- Brachytherapy - The radiation source is placed inside or next to the area of patient’s body requiring treatment.
Radiotherapy is used as a part of the cancer treatment to control or kill malignant cells.
Patients are provided with the necessary support during treatment. Before treatment starts, our specialist will meet with patients to check if there are any issues to be addressed. At our radiotherapy unit, we treat approximately 600 patients per year.
