DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate with appropriate programme managers and recruits, train and supervise volunteers; monitors and evaluate community service outreach programmes.
  • Coordinate volunteer programmes; and maintain all reporting requirements that include volunteer performance evaluations; maintain a volunteer database, tracking attendance and volunteer hours; periodically conduct meetings with volunteers.
  • Liaising with departments within their own organisation or with organisations for which they are recruiting volunteers (e.g. charities and councils) and to understand how they work, develop partnerships and assess their volunteering needs.
  • Raising staff awareness of the role and function of volunteers.
  • Ensure there is contact, support and training for volunteers on regular basis.
  • Organise volunteers’ celebration event and nominate volunteers for awards.
  • Deliver campaigns on time and within budget; effectively manage budgets and resources.
  • Running induction sessions for groups of volunteers t0 develop understanding of the role of a volunteer and what is expected of them.
  • Match volunteers’ requirements with relevant projects.
  • Ensure volunteers’ adherence to code of conduct.
  • Plan, organise & execute events & projects – national & International.
  • Organise volunteers’ celebration event and nominate volunteers for awards.
  • Deliver campaigns on time and within budget; effectively manage budgets and resources.
SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
  • A people and community-minded person.
  • Degree in any field with minimum 5 years of experience in related areas.
  • Hands on experience in community development/education, human resource management, social work.
  •  Excellent communicator with good writing skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Age between 33 to 40.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people.
  • Driving – a must, possess driving licence.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a wide range of tasks.
  • Competent with administration and IT-related tasks, and ability to maintain records and produce clear written and oral reports.
  • Experience of working across different sectors and developing links with other agencies.
  • Flexible and non-judgemental approach towards people and work.
  • Driving – a must, possess driving licence.
