MAKNA proudly hosted the “MAKNA-MSW Gathering 2024 and Beyond,” a special event designed to celebrate and deepen the collaboration between MAKNA and Medical Social Work (MSW) officers from across Malaysia. This gathering brought together 72 MSW officers from government hospitals nationwide, including Mr. Zulhan bin Ambi, the Head of Profession for MSW.

The event provided an excellent platform for MAKNA and MSW staff to interact, share experiences, and foster a sense of camaraderie, all with the shared objective of improving cancer care for patients throughout Malaysia. A variety of engaging activities were organized, encouraging teamwork and collaboration, as well as strengthening the bond between the two organizations. These activities emphasized the importance of working together to ensure holistic support for cancer patients and their families.

The “MAKNA-MSW Gathering 2024 and Beyond” also highlighted the importance of continued collaboration in addressing the many challenges faced by cancer patients, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. With ongoing partnerships like this, both MAKNA and MSW remain committed to their mission of providing essential services, support, and hope to cancer patients and their families.
