• Give talks on various cancer-related topics either during exhibitions, events, and activities organised by MAKNA or by partners. The Speaker will undergo a period of training and preparatory sessions before he or she is expected to deliver these presentations and talks
  • Be constantly on a self-learning mode to pick up new information on cancer and health-related issues for the purpose of incorporating useful information into the talks given
  • Provide self-breast examination demonstrations where applicable as part of the talks
  • Perform clinical breast examinations with other staff nurses during activities such as exhibitions, mobile mammogram’s events, volunteer activities and so on
  • Provide counselling to visitors and guests on cancer during activities that require this particular service. The candidate will learn techniques of counselling on the job and be acquainted with conventional counselling methods
  • Candidate will be a part of MAKNA’s cancer support group’s activities
  • Assist in the handling of MAKNA Cancer Helpline as and when required. This entails handling enquiries through calls and emails. Only when necessary to visit patients at their homes or hospitals to further assist them
  • Registered SRN with a of minimum 5 years’ of working experience
  • Preferably with post-basic in Oncology and experience in counselling
  • Age above 30 years old, preferably female
  • Possess good public speaking skills
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Travelling is required
  • Friendly, sociable and approachable
