• Market and promote exhibition packages to corporate clients, government agencies, universities, and other organisations. Meet potential clients and coordinate all liaisons with these parties professionally with a view to form relationships, build network and secure commitments on packages
  • Plan and implement exhibitions for clients from the conceptualisation stage to completion of the exhibitions. When necessary, candidate will need to attend events and take care of activities on-the-ground at exhibition booths/areas
  • Deliver events in accordance with the approved budget; meet set KPIs in terms of funds’ generation. Cross-selling of other of MAKNA’s offerings will be part of the responsibilities
  • Oversee replenishment of education materials. Source for relevant and quality materials at year end and keep a tab on the status and condition of materials
  • Work together with other departments which require exhibition’s participation, providing the necessary support and coordinate with colleagues to ensure the smooth execution of programmes planned
  • Develop one’s knowledge of cancer in all relevant areas and learn to share them effectively with visitors and guests during exhibitions or talks
  • Early 30’s and above
  • Academic qualification – minimum diploma holder
  • Minimum 4 years of events management, project management or sales experience
  • Diplomatic and mature negotiating skills, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Highly organised, pro-active and with lots of initiative and energy
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with reasonable standard of both verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • A well presented, personable and efficient events organiser with an ability to work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous and competing deadlines. Having a strong customer service orientation and delivery focus and a active commitment to continuous improvement and quality standards
  • Travelling within the country is required
