Spreading Hope Through Generosity
The National Cancer Council Malaysia (MAKNA) recently received a generous donation from Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI), raised through the Hand-Painting Activity during INCEIF Unity Day 2024. This remarkable effort highlights the power of community and shared commitment to supporting cancer patients and raising awareness about prevention and treatment.
The funds raised will directly contribute to MAKNA’s ongoing mission to assist those affected by cancer. This initiative exemplifies how creative activities, combined with community spirit, can generate meaningful support for important causes. Participants and contributors demonstrated incredible generosity and enthusiasm, serving as a source of inspiration for continued efforts in making a difference.
The organisation is providing selected schools with an interactive VR cancer education module, allowing students to explore cancer-related topics in a way that is easy and fun, which increases engagement, particularly among younger age groups. “We are focusing on the effectiveness of the messaging to this younger cohort, as higher engagement through play leads to better understanding and retention of information,” said Puan Farahida Mohd Farid, General Manager of MAKNA
The success of this collaboration underscores the impact of small acts of kindness and unity in spreading hope and positivity. MAKNA is deeply grateful to PPI and everyone involved for their unwavering support and dedication to this cause. Such efforts not only strengthen bonds but also ensure that impactful change reaches those in need.
Together, these contributions fuel MAKNA’s mission to bring light and hope to cancer patients and their families. The organization looks forward to more collaborative efforts to create lasting positive change.
